What happens when we expect marriage to fix what only God can fill?

In this week’s message, we step into one of the most complicated love stories in Scripture, Jacob, Leah, and Rachel. It’s a story of longing, comparison, compromise, deception, and deep dissatisfaction. When marriage becomes the answer to our identity, loneliness, or insecurity, we end up demanding more than it was ever designed to give and someone always gets hurt.

But buried in Leah’s pain is a powerful truth: fulfillment doesn’t come from finding the right person, it comes from putting the right Person first. God is your One. Your spouse is your two. When we look to marriage to complete us, we compromise, compete, and come up empty. But when we anchor our hearts in God, even the broken parts of our story can give birth to redemption.

Because no relationship can carry the weight that only God was meant to bear.
