The King We Didn't Expect

On Palm Sunday, the crowds welcomed Jesus like a king, shouting, celebrating, and expecting Him to change everything. But they were looking for the king they wanted, not the King they needed.

They wanted power. Jesus came in humility. They wanted freedom from Rome. Jesus came to free them from sin. They wanted a crown. Jesus came carrying a cross.

And in just a few days, the same voices crying “Hosanna” would shout “Crucify Him.” This message invites us to wrestle with a deeper question: Do we really want Jesus as King, or just as a solution to our problems?

Because the King we didn’t expect is exactly the King we need.
